Abstract (English):
The author attempts to present the concept and classification of shoplifters. The basis of the classification is the motives for shoplifting and theft method. Shoplifters are represented by two groups: amateurs and professionals. The empirical base is the material provided by commercial security experts of St. Petersburg in the retail trade network.
